Sound the trumpets! Call the Queen! No, not Elton John, the other queen! Yeah, George Michael! Ugh. Forget the queen(s), but sound the trumpets any way because today those freakin' "Hey, Baby!" lilies finally bloomed!
You know what this means? Did you even remember the reason why these goofy lilies have been overtaking this blog? Me neither. I had to go back to the original post 'cause if there ain't a sticky note somewhere on my desk about it, I know nothing.
Seems I promised a post about the winner and a link to their blog for one month if they gussed the bloom date. God, I must have been desperate for readers with a bribe like that. Those that guessed must also be desperate for readers if you think you are going to get any from my site since traffic here is like traffic in Maine in the middle of January at midnight.
FLYDRAGON from A Little of This, A Little of That, who guessed a bloom date of June 5, 2009 only if there was a full moon. Well, according to the US Navy, the full moon was on the 7th of June and the US Navy is THE expert on full moons. Anyway, you were close Flydragon and I'm not going to let a little technicality blow it for you. Plus you have a hot air balloon hummer feeder to die for!

I do think I've got one "laying" around here with 6 zero's behind the 1 but it's got Bill Clinton's picture on it... I'm pretty sure he's from away...

Yours finally bloomed and mine don't even have buds yet, somehow that just doesn't seem fair! Jk, I've got lots of other flowers that are blooming and looking really pretty. I just can't wait till all the variety of Lily's start :)

You're glad it's over?? I'm glad it's over!! I also had to check your first post to see what the heck I was guessing for. I still don't know. As for writing a post about me if I don't e-mail you, I'm very curious about that. I think I'll take that option. Ha, this is gonna be good!
